Notice of Mild Protest

ABOUT
We just want to put people on notice and save us all a bit of hassle. In an age of endless content, viral videos, and the notion that everyone everywhere is recordable anytime, we believe in the right to say “no” before the camera starts rolling. We simply want to provide an easy way to tell people in public "hey, my preference is not to be recorded and not to be bothered."
FAQ
Do they have the right to film and record me?
Yes, they can record you without your consent if you are in a Public Place (park, public side walks, restaurants open to the public), but not a private place (e.g., your home, bathroom, locker room).
What is a Public Place?
A Public Place is anywhere you do not have a reasonable expectation of privacy. A reasonable expectation of privacy is a legal concept that refers to a person’s right to privacy in a situation where: they actually expect privacy (subjective) and society agrees that expectation is reasonable (objective).
What if people still record me in a Public Place?
Unfortunately, if someone does not respect your request, that is their right. Ignore them. You made clear your request and they made clear what kind of person they are.
